A Royal Touch on Agneta’s collaboration with Cap Moderne!

The international artist and ceramist Agneta Livijn came to the Riviera as a teenager.

Growing up in Karl Gerhards magnificent villa, which Agneta's father acquired in 1971, she was early seduced by the Mediterranean lifestyle, the landscape and the artistic environment. Her profound love for Côte d’Azur has characterized her artistry in many ways through time.

With international collaborations for IKEA, Habitat and others as well as a ceramic collection, inspired by the Mediterranean and produced within her own company Agneta Livijn AB, Agneta is constantly in fashion and is expanding worldwide. Taken directly from the French culture, her handmade Caffè latte cup with stripes has sold for 25 years worldwide.

With studies at the San Fransisco Art Institute, Agneta has had several art exhibitions throughout the years, mainly in New York. And inspired by her youth in the South of France, she has also designed an art villa in Torekov, Sweden – La Casa Del Mare – with Eileen Gray's villa in Cap Martin as a “raw model”.

A prestigious collaboration with Cap Moderne was initiated in 2019, where Agneta has designed espresso cups with patterns from Eileen Gray's rugs. The cups are now available for purchase in Cap Moderne's Museum shop. Since Prince Albert II is the President of the Honorary Committee of the association of Cap Moderne, it is with a royal touch that Agneta is successful in the Rivera!

Come and listen to Agneta's "Artist Talk" at 17.15 at Villa Ingeborg on the 7th of November. She shows her new paintings and Cap Moderne's collection.
